Limp Bizkit Sonisphere

After the fanfare that surrounded their Download performance, Limp Bizkit had a hell of a lot to live up to and it didn’t quite reach those dizzy heights. That’s not to say that Durst’s soldiers weren’t up to the task at hand and, considering the band’s standing amongst the average Lamb Of God/Machine Head/Metallica fan, they could have taken a real bruising but instead they man up and still pull a performance out of the bag.
Hell, you could even argue by the reactions that greeted ‘Nookie’, ‘Rollin” and ‘Break Stuff’ that they even won a little bit of respect and that’s something that would never have happened a few years ago.
The bottom line is that Bizkit played to the people that considered them the enemy today and that they still managed to pull a show out of the bag that ignited an 80% positive reaction should be applauded. Now it’s up to the band to deliver a record that capitalizes on all of the good-will thrown their way this summer.

This is a metal site, but most metalheads aren't backing him up.
In a few days, it seems they lost all the credibility they regained over the last 5 years.

LB is back and now everybody thinks they can pick on LB and Fred an co gives a response and make them famous
no seriously its just the fact to hate LB is so cool it has been and will be like this. Cuz the magic they create makes other Bands jealousy.
just be sure this isnt the last time! But we and LB already know how to handle those fuckers

''I love you!
Why do I hate my brother?
I hate you!
Or do I hate myself?''
- Machine Head 'Slanderous'
Flynn should take a leaf out of his own book. Just because you're embaressed and hate yourself about your 'nu metal' past, it doesn't mean Limp Bizkit is to blame.
All this shit is the reason why 'humanity suffers' Flynn, because all we seem to do is fucking hate on eachother and fight over crap, when we could be sorting the fucking world out. I've lost all respect for Machine Head...
The 'humanity suffers' reference is to the song Clenching The Fists of Dissent, where he rants about how we're all slaves and how the Government/Rich Men are evil yadda yadda, but what is he doing to help us escape or change it? slagging off a band that hasn't done anything to deserve the hate campaign he has created. This whole thing is bullshit.

Robb isn't doing himself any favors trying to start something out of nothing, and metal fans can see through BS
Keep staying grounded to earth LB, much respect

Things that are wrong with this...
1) It wasn't really un-prompted
2) There weren't 45,000 people there (festival said something like 30,000)
3) Not everyone. At all. By a long shot.
Also, I heard no "Fuck Limp Bizkit" chants during LB's set. I was right down the front, and noone was causing any trouble or being a general ass. There may have been some further back in the arena, but I really don't think it was that bad.
After LB's set, a few people (who were mainly there for Metallica and Nin) were saying about how Limp were the better band out of the two - saying their stage presence and general performance was better.

Exactly what I think about the difference between both bands. Double Base and Circlepits and palm mutes and growling yadda yadda, LB just pulls the bigger shit...period

I'm not sure if I can call myself a Machine Head fan anymore. I mean christ, when Reprise goes against Flynn you know the shit has really hit the fan.
I can, for the music. Lets not go overboard here. What ever Machine Head have said or done, it can't take away for me what they've achieved musically. As a person (Robb Flynn), and as a band they've acted like major assholes. It's just ridiulous. Robb's acting like he's still in highschool. "ZOMG we had 21 circle pits nah nah nah. We're better than yooou!"
What a loser he's being.

But honestly, I can't recall seeing bullshit this immature in rock/metal since the Fred and Britney fiasco.
What's sad is that Machine Head have spent years crawling up from the industry gutter to the absolute peak of the metal ladder. Some fans are already turning against them...if they keep this up it would have all been for nothing.
