QUOTE (Reprise @ Aug 2 2009, 05:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Well I wouldn't go as far as hoping their next album bombs, because truth is I love thier music and I want them to keep getting better. But their arrogance is ridiculous. That said, I never noticed them ever appear arrogant before until this "drama".

Ten years ago, everyone talked about "General Flynn", and how much he acted like a diva with everyone in his entourage...
I also remember he blamed the 9/11 attacks for the failure of Supercharger... ph34r2.gif
Didn't he realize his album sucked ? I can't stand when people won't admit the truth and try to find a scapegoat for whatever goes wrong in their life/career...

I also read an interview with Phil Demmel a few yers ago where he acted completely unprofessionnal (basically, he was pissed for no reason, and just said "yes/no/whatever" to all the questions he was asked).

Like someone said on Blabbermouth :
- when Pantera was hot, they became a (great) Pantera n°2
- then when nu-metal was big, they died their hair and became a nu-metal band
- when metalcore got big, they went back to being metal again

They simply have no integrity. Robb Flynn may be a hell of a songwriter, he's still a schmuck.

Yeah, but that last one is bullshit, as someone else noted on Blabbermouth. The Ashes of the Empires and The Blackening are far from being metalcore, and the former album was written waaayy before Metal became cool again and way before THrash became the new cool thing again. That album was written when they had absolutely no record label at all, and I beleive it's no coincidence.
Call me naive, I don't really care, but I do beleive some what that a lot of Machine Head's direction, particularly in the later 90s, was down to Roadrunner trying to influence their sound to fit the current trend. It's hardly unknown what dickheads Roadruner can be to their artists.

I still find it hilarious that Lamb of God, the band who were saying they are tired of the whole Nu Metal bullshit, didn't say a WORD about Limp Bizkit joining the bill and playing above them when Machine Head pulled out. Simply because they're happy to play for their fans no matter what the circumstances of the bill line up.

At first i was with Machine Head, but when i really think about it, they played this badly and have come across like major arrogant idiots. You came back to play for the people? you should of STAYED on the bill to play for the 'people' despite Limp Bizkit being after you... losers. Shit like this can put you off a bands music man.

Yeah, Through The Ashes was written back in 2003/04 time, metal was literally picking itself up off the floor from the whole Nu Metal phase.

I love how Trent has clearly put all the shit behind him with that visual statement right there! HA, and Trent use to be the cry baby. Looks like Robb Flynn has taken his place smile.gif

Jesus Christ I made a lot of typos in that last post! Haha. There's some awesome photos showing up anyways. Wes looked awesome! I hope the band went down as well as they did at Download.

Haha. Says the guy who always defends Kanye West. You have as much credibility as a dying flea right now about music. Nothing against you personally, it's just that you're musically retarded.
