So what do you do when your favorite band tours back to back and on the second one there is no date remotely close to where you live?

ROAD TRIP BABY!

That's right. I'm headed north to Myrtle Beach, SC (from Miami, FL) to witness the great 311 perform once again.

Anyone been to any of the shows yet? How is it?

farthest i ever went on a road trip with buddies was from new jersey, usa to montreal, canada. the main reasoning for that though was really to spend a long weekend in montreal (drinking age = 18, strip clubs everywhere). we did attend a slipknot concert though.

Saw them last week and they totally kicked major ass. They played Strangers, which hadn't been played live since early '02! Awsome set and they brought the energy with the sound. Two Thumbs up all the way. :funny:

Nice. I've seen AAF open for them before, they did a damn good job.

311 never fails to get decent bands to open for them.

OH MY GOD THAT WAS AMAZING!

I have never seen 311 so close, the House of Blues is freakin awesome!! I actually got to see their mother fucking faces!
That setlist was amazing.
I love this band.

I saw 311 twice in the past week, at shows in Portland, ME and Lowell, MA.

The Maine show was great, because it's 311, but the Massachusetts show was incredible. Killer set-list, and they even abandoned closing with "Feels So Good" to instead play "Six" and "Fuck the Bullshit", due to the crowd chanting. Definitely one of the best live bands around, and for $30-$35 a ticket, a helluva deal.

Can't wait for their Spring tour to bring 311 back to New England :)

Dude I was AT that Mass show, I was right up in front of SA and Tim with my girlfriend at the barracade!
There was some shitty people around there, I had to punch this little chinese dude twice he was shoving my girlfriend to the side towards the end of the show. Fucker came out of nowhere. I had an alliance with the kid and his gf on my left to some degree, he was getting the same shit. Drunk college kids looking to pick a fight, probably not even 311 fans to begin with.

311 themselves were amazing. I loved that they added Six and Fuck The Bullshit due to the chants and I respected the way Nick reacted when the asshole hit him with a shoe.

Good show, the setlist was incredible and I got one of Tim's guitar picks! (still not as cool as when I met him though lol)
